Listed: #732, #734, and #728 (pictured in order, groups of two).
Rotationally grazed daily (Greg Judy’s method), broke to 2-strand electric fence, not vaccinated, no antibiotics, chemical dewormer only as needed, and grass-fed only.
Selling because I am downsizing for the winter, and we haven’t been getting rain. Just don’t have enough grass to keep everyone. These three have always had trouble gaining weight on just pasture, although they are better than when I bought them—they generally prefer their space a bit more than the others I have posted, but not wild as long as others are around (you could very likely win them over with grain). The previous owner didn’t know the exact ages, but they’re either three or four years old.
#732: Pure St. Croix, very good mother. I bred her with my Katahdin ram last fall, and she dropped a stunning singleton with great size and frame (lamb pictured next to her). Asking $200 OBO.
#734: Pure St. Croix, good mothering instincts. Just not performing as well as the others on my pasture, give her a good high-protein diet, and she’ll do just fine. Asking $200 OBO.
#726: Pure St. Croix, twins last year and singleton this year. Reason for selling is that she doesn’t perform as well as the others on my pasture; she, too, would benefit from a higher-protein diet/pasture. Asking $200 OBO.
You may mix & match with any of my other listings. I have other ewes, rams, and lambs (both sexes) available that may not be posted.
Shoot me your best offer. I’m trying to sell as fast as possible. For purchases of $400 or more (and a minimum of three animals), I’ll deliver for free to anywhere in Henry, McKenzie, Gleason, Paris, Dresden, or Puryear. For purchases less than that or of greater distances, I’ll ask for a reasonable service fee for my time and fuel to anywhere but must be within three hours of the farm.
